The Arundel Jazz Band is conducting a sale of CDs from their 2007 effort -- "Tribute to the Duke."  The CD is a recording of Duke Ellington music performed by the 2006-2007 Arundel Jazz Band and is being sold to help the Jazz Band finance their effort to attend and perform at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore Jazz Festival this spring in Salisbury.

Each member of the 2007-2008 Arundel Jazz Band will be trying to sell CD to not only pay for the jazz band trip, but also to earn additional credit toward their participation fees and/or spring trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  The more CDs they sell, the better for the group and for the individual musicians.

The CDs are $17 each and checks are payable to AIMA.  CDs can be ordered three ways: 1) Those attending the instrumental concert on December 20 can order at the jazz band table outside the auditorium on Thursday night. 2) Folks can order through the jazz band musicians between now and January 4, 2008, or 3) they can order by sending an e-mail to arundeljazzcd@verizon.net between now and January 4.

There will be 10 copies of the CD available for purchase to the December 20 on a first-come basis.   Once the 10 CDs are gone, you'll need to order the CDs through one of the three ways addressed above.

The UMES jazz festival is a great opportunity to showcase the Arundel Jazz Band, but it's going to take your help and the generosity of our teachers, students, faculty, and the AHS public to help the musicians sell the CD and earn their way to Salisbury.  Please do what you can to help.
